What’s included in the Full Performance Capture Bundle?
The bundle includes the Smartsuit Pro II, Smartgloves II, Head-mounted device (either Headcam or Headrig, depending on your setup), and a 1-year Rokoko Studio Pro license.
What's the difference between the Headcam and Headrig for face capture?
The Headrig mounts your iPhone in front of your face and uses Apple's ARKit for facial motion capture. It works directly with the Rokoko Face Capture iOS app and Rokoko Studio. It's the simpler, more budget-friendly option and ideal if you already own an iPhone.
The Headcam has a built-in camera, dimmable LED lighting, and a microphone. It connects via USB-C to PC, macOS, or Android. It's also compatible with third-party tools like Unreal Engine's MetaHuman Animator and AccuFace without needing a Rokoko Studio subscription.
Choose Headrig if you want the simplest setup and already use iOS.
Choose Headcam if you need cross-platform compatibility, work with MetaHuman Animator, or don't own an iPhone.How long does it take to set up and start capturing with the full bundle?
First-time setup - including unboxing, charging, connecting to Wi-Fi, and installing Rokoko Studio - takes approximately 15–20 minutes. After initial setup, getting into the suit, connecting the gloves and face capture, and calibrating takes under 3 minutes at the start of each session.
Calibration is a quick "i-pose" (standing straight with arms at your sides) that takes about 3 seconds. All three devices - suit, gloves, and face capture - connect wirelessly to Rokoko Studio and appear as one synchronized live input.
No external cameras, markers, or dedicated studio space are required. You can capture in any room with a Wi-Fi connection, or use the suit's built-in hotspot for outdoor or offline recording.Can I return the bundle, and do you offer education or volume discounts?
Yes. All Rokoko purchases include a 30-day trial period. You can test the full bundle in your production environment and return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund. Return shipping costs are not covered.
Education and volume pricing: Academic institutions, research labs, and studios purchasing multiple units may qualify for additional discounts. Contact Rokoko's sales team or request a quote for custom pricing. Indie creators can also explore the Indie Creator Bundle for savings up to 30%.
Do I need to buy a battery or power bank?
Yes. For customs reasons, we are not able to ship Lithium batteries, necessary to power the Smartsuit Pro and Smartgloves. You likely already own such a powerbank, but if not here are battery recommendations for the Smartsuit Pro and here are battery recommendations for the Smartgloves
What software works with the Full Performance Capture bundle?
All three capture devices stream synchronized data through Rokoko Studio (free to download) to major 3D applications via native real-time plugins like Blender, Unreal Engine, Unity, Maya, Houdini, Cinema 4D and more.
Real-time streaming means you can see your captured motion applied to a rigged character in your 3D software as you perform. Body, hand, and facial data arrive as a single synchronized stream.
For export, Rokoko Studio supports FBX and BVH formats with skeleton presets for Human IK, Mixamo, and custom rigs.
